Our New Black and White Friend

Jaxxon and Morganne LOVED Shamu and the Dolphins.

This is how Jaxxon looked the entire time at Sea World. Huge Smile!

Makin' A Come Back.......again

HERE we are! Again! Gonna try this whole blog thing out one more try. Last time was not a success. This year has been filled with many new memories, accomplishments, trials, blessings, friendships, changes, challenges, adventures, and hurts. I thought that I would post some pictures from one of our BIGGEST accomplishments.

THE GRAND CANYON!

Tommy, my Mom, the Kiddos, and I drove up to the Canyon on Wednesday. We stayed in a sweet little hotel inside the Grand Canyon park. Tommy and I got up Thursday (early) morning, met our friends for breakfast, caught the shuttle to our trail, then hiked down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. We hiked the South Kaibab down to the bottom of the canyon. Camped at Bright Angel Campground. Woke up Friday morning and started our hike out. We hike Bright Angel trail up.

Here we are waiting with our friends to catch our shuttle to take us to the start of our trail. Our friends ROCKED the trail down and out. Average time hiking down is anywhere from 4 to 5 hours. They made it in 6. Tommy and I made it in 7. See somewhere, somehow, down the trail, I damaged my knee. Thank God for my SOLID ROCK of a husband. Because coming up the trail the next day, half way up, my knee totally blew out. I wouldn't have been able to have done it with out him. Average time coming up outta the Canyon is 8 hours. Our buddies ROCKED it out in 8. Tommy and I took 12 HOURS. It was rainy, cold, windy, and VERY dark when we finally reached the top. I learned a lot about myself, my marriage, and my husband on this awesome experience! It ended up being a truly huge blessing. My Mom was waiting up at the top for us. We were a sight for her sore eyes she said. When she saw our head lamps, for down afar, she started cheering us on and up the rest of the climb, by yelling and screaming. She was shouting out words of encouragement for us to finish the last part. My Mom and kiddos stayed in a hotel at the top while we hiked and camped. We went back to the hotel, showered, ate, and fell hard asleep. Saturday we adventured around the top of the canyon, explored with the kiddos and looked down at our great overcoming. Bought some great canyon stuff, ate lunch, and headed back home.

THANK YOU Mel and Edd for the great memories! Love you guys. (I have a ton of pics, so I am going to make a post with just all pics after this.)
